Our TK–K class introduces young students to chess in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate environment. Participants learn the names of the pieces, how each piece moves, and the basic goal of the game through stories, guided play, and interactive activities. Emphasis is placed on building focus, listening skills, turn-taking, and confidence. Students develop comfort with the board while fostering early critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
-
The Beginner class is designed for students who are new to chess or still developing their foundational skills. Participants learn essential concepts such as piece value, check and checkmate, chess notation, basic tactics, opening principles, and simple endgames. Through structured lessons and supervised practice games, students build a clear understanding of strategy while strengthening concentration, planning, and decision-making. The goal is to develop confident, independent players with a strong foundation.
-
The Intermediate class helps students with prior familiarity with chess deepen their understanding of strategy and tactical thinking. Participants learn how to create plans, recognize tactical patterns such as forks and pins, and apply sound opening and endgame principles. Instruction emphasizes calculation, pattern recognition, and positional awareness. Students are encouraged to think ahead, evaluate positions, and play with greater purpose and confidence.
-
The Advanced class is designed for experienced players seeking to refine their skills and compete at a higher level. Students study advanced tactics, positional strategy, calculation techniques, and more sophisticated endgames. Lessons include game analysis, strategic planning, and tournament preparation. Participants develop disciplined thinking, deeper calculation ability, and the mindset required for competitive chess.
